Powers of Attorney & Court of Protection

We offer a comprehensive service in relation to all legal problems people face with the advance of age.  As we grow older, circumstances change and some find their ability to manage their affairs may decrease.  This could be the result of illness or disability, but can also include the after effects of injury or other traumatic events.

We can advise on the options available to get your affairs in order and ease concerns and those of relatives, friends or carers.  This may include advice and assistance on preparing or revising a Will, appointing an attorney to manage personal affairs, finances or welfare, advise on estate planning and taxes and information on transferring, selling or buying property.

For more information on Lasting Powers of Attorney please read below.

Lasting Powers of Attorney

These can be prepared to deal with your “Property and Affairs” and/or “Health and Welfare”.  We will advise on the options and complete the necessary documentation, register the Power when appropriate, and advise on subsequent use.

If a relation has unfortunately reached a situation where they are unable to appoint an Attorney for example through ill health, we can also assist with the preparation and presentation of an Application to the Office of the Public Guardian (Court of Protection) for a family member to be appointed as Deputy to manage their affairs for them.

For more information, advice or to arrange an appointment please contact Richard Frost at Richard@ejwinter.co.uk or on 0118 957 4424.
